Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Are you expected to help people in crisis or struggling to cope with life’s challenges?
Learn how to comfortably and competently work with those who are feeling desperate, hopeless, and are thinking of suicide to help them stay safe from suicide.
ASIST is an evidence-based, 2-day intensive and interactive workshop designed to build skills in de-escalating a suicidal situation and building a safety plan.
Just as “CPR” skills make physical first aid possible, ASIST builds advanced skills to help build hope and safety – skills that anyone working in a helping role, or with higher risk populations, needs.
This is an ideal training for faith leaders, CIT/law enforcement officers, mental health providers, school counselors, medical professionals, chaplains, corrections staff, teachers, coaches, veteran support staff, social workers, and community volunteers.
